Aluminium Trim Cap & Aluminium Flat Coil (Trimless Coil)

Channel letter fabrication requires aluminium coil stock that can be roll-formed or hand-bent to create the letter return — the side wall that gives the letter its three-dimensional depth and structural integrity. Genuine Overseas stocks two formats:

1. Aluminium Trim Cap — A pre-painted aluminium coil with a snap-on or glue-fit edge designed to hold the acrylic face panel in place while forming the letter sides. Available in 60mm depth (for standard 60mm returns) and 80mm depth (for deeper 80mm returns). The trim cap profile secures the acrylic face without visible fasteners, giving the letter a clean finished appearance.

2. Aluminium Flat Coil (Trimless) — A flat aluminium coil at 50mm width used where the sign designer wants a trimless look, or where the fabricator is making their own custom return profile. The flat coil gives maximum design flexibility.

Available finishes across both types:

– Mirror Silver — highly reflective chrome-like finish for premium backlit letters

– Mirror Gold — warm gold reflective finish for luxury and hospitality branding

– Brush Silver — satin brushed aluminium — most popular all-round finish

– Brush Gold — brushed warm gold for boutique and jewellery signage

– Brush Rose — rose gold, premium lifestyle branding

– Solid Colours: Red, White, Yellow, Aluminium (natural), Blue, Black, Green
